Supply Chain

Supply Chain Optimisation Application

Support Logix redesigned a manual Master Scheduling process used across 10 factories by developing a SQL Server–based optimisation application. The system prioritised high-margin sales, allowed product substitutions, and generated fully optimised production plans.

The automated model ran 300% faster than the manual process and could be executed multiple times to refine results. This improved inventory accuracy, reduced forecast shortages, and increased profitability. Support Logix also prepared the full business case for this project.

Human Resources

Data Validation Application

We developed an application that scanned approximately 700 remuneration contract workbooks daily and compared key information against payroll data. This process identified anomalies and reduced payroll errors by highlighting overpayments and underpayments.

Initially built as a VBA application, the prototype was so successful that the client requested a full Functional Specification for a .NET-based production system.

Business Analysis

Executive Sales Dashboard

Support Logix created an Executive Sales Dashboard for a food manufacturer. The dashboard provided clear visibility of sales performance metrics, enabling more focused and effective sales management.

HACCP Production Floor System

We developed a Production Floor system that combined recipe instructions with ingredient sequencing and batch tracking. This ensured consistent product quality, improved traceability, and enabled future production planning with accurate ingredient forecasting.

Management Accounting

Standard Labour Cost Review

For an FMCG manufacturer, Support Logix analysed production data, payroll information, and product structures to calculate accurate standard labour costs. This allowed the business to understand true product-level labour performance despite complex multi-department workflows.

Profit & Loss Management Report

We developed a comprehensive Profit & Loss report for a print manufacturer, combining financial and quantitative performance metrics. The report was built in Microsoft Excel and integrated with JD Edwards ERP data using advanced VBA programming.

Project Management

Automated Pavlova Roulade Base Production Plant

Support Logix project managed the initial research phase and secured Callaghan Innovation R&D funding to procure a new automated plant for a dessert manufacturer. This included managing the full lifecycle from design through to commissioning with our preferred project supplier.

The new automated Depositor eliminated seven manual Food Technician roles, delivering major labour cost savings. Increased capacity also enabled the business to take on new export orders. The project was completed on time and within budget, delivering a strong return on investment.
